Hill House.
Is it possible to build an architecturally designed home on a budget- as a first time owner builder, on a tight budget the site held its own challenges, sitting in a bush fire prone area, primary koala habitat, and with an awkward building envelope- the challenge was set.
The stunning site spoke for itself, and the Architects invested much time in surveying the land to ensure the building would sit quietly on site, sinking into the land in a quiet sensitive way. They achieved this beautifully.
With a modest foot print, our design approach was to mix high end finishes and fittings with affordable materials. Natural stone tiles, burnished concrete, raw brass and Venetian plaster paired with soft warm white walls and local hardwood. The outcome is a beautifully orientated home, with a relaxing harmonious easy living space. Stage two will see the structural landscaping commence, with Valla granite walls, corten steel edging, native plantings and loads of happiness and laughter.
Our Hill House is our family project, and we look forward to sharing this ongoing journey with you.
